Our Process

01

Waste Collection

‘Waste’ is dropped off by community members, NGOS, and business to Caltech Environmental’s Material Recovery Centre  (MRC)

02

Sorting

Dedicated Caltech Environmental workers sift through the ‘waste’ meticulously separating recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics and glass.

03

Segregation

The sorted recyclables undergoes further segregation at the MRC into their category types and are placed in designated skip bins, each clearly labelled.

04

Processing

Skip bins are then moved into the Circul-R factory Material Processing Plant (MPP). Where the Glass is finely crushed into glass sand by a pulveriser machine and each type of plastic is efficiently shredded and granulated into small particles using cutting edge shredding machines.  The paper and cardboard is mechanically shredded at the Board Making Plant (BMP).

Waste isn’t waste till it’s wasted – will.i.am

05

Recycling

The processed recovered recyclable materials are now ready for a new life as they are transformed into Circular products at the Landscaping product plant (LPP) and the Board Making Plant (BMP). Check out the videos below to watch the  Circul-R recycling in action.
